Free Domain Name and Hosting From Microsoft

Has anyone tried this from Microsoft? It’s called Office Live Basics and you can get a free domain name and web hosting with 500MB storage.
I’m wondering how long the free webhosting deal lasts for. And is the domain name renewable for free year after year?
It’s intended for small businesses but it’s worth a look. If anyone has already gotten a free domain from them, let me know how you like the service.
